 Current context

In the last 10 years, worldwide economy and social structures underwent important changes and fluctuations. The emergence of countries, such as China and India, has caused major transformations in the competitiveness of North-American organizations.

These organizations must adjust their methods and mindset to face an increasing competition from corporations having a low cost operation. Furthermore, the combination of evolving technologies and low labor costs in emergent economies keeps forcing organizations to innovate and improve their competitiveness.

For managers, these issues occur and result in important challenges:

  • Manpower reductions;
  • Productivity increases are required;
  • Rigorous budgeting or budgetary cuts;
  • Changes in priorities or the accumulation of many priorities;
  • Low moral of their team;
  • Increases of the level of service or delivery of products as well as their improvement;
  • Implementation of new services with tight timelines;
  • Opportunities of improving their department with limited resources;

With such issues, managing daily operations while coordinating various changes in their department becomes increasingly difficult.

Our program aims at:

  • Developing the reflexes of managers in order to overcome these challenges and to capture growth opportunities.
  • Facilitating their daily operations and allowing their team to reach expected results.

 Our methodology

1. Expectations and assessment of reflexes

During the program, we make sure that participants develop their reflexes according to their needs. An appraisal tool will allow them to measure their level of effectiveness in various management competencies.  This tool is designed to:

  • Identify the strengths on which to capitalize;
  • Target the areas of improvement as well as opportunities to develop their potential.

This appraisal will also be used to help managers measure their progress as well as the impact created by their development.

2. Training

Each training module is designed with a practical approach; the managers in their daily operations can use each technique and each tool. The learning activities are also designed so that the participants will experiment situations similar to their reality. We focus on having people experiment and practice the various tools and techniques to demonstrate the importance of integrating those in their daily tasks as well as show their value.

3. Coaching and Integration of reflexes

The training alone does not guarantee the integration of reflexes. We believe that managers must practice in their work environment and test these tools and techniques, thus, acknowledging their value. We call this: “Integration assignments”. These assignments also allow the participants to validate their understanding and request some help if needed.

We also rely on the immediate supervisors of the people attending this program to carry out follow-up activities and act as coaches. Those activities are critical to help these participants acquire and develop their reflexes as well as motivate them in their progress.

4. Integration assignments: results for the organization

Beyond the progress of their reflexes, we believe that managers trained in this program will bring added value to the organization. Those assignments will be carried out with specific objectives to improve or solve actual problems, thus, having a positive impact on results within their team and within their department.

 Our tools

We use simple tools and proven techniques.  These tools are also adaptable to the work environment as to the managers’ needs.

Our training approach allows us to train with your own organizational tools; we then adjust the content and focus on eliminating the difficulties encountered by managers. Furthermore, we are able to improve standardization of your practices among your management team.
